Born in Cameroon, I grew up between Belgium, The Gambia and later moved to the United States as a teenager. My coming-of-age experiences across three continents influence the stories I tell. At the core of my cinematic vision is a passion for telling African diasporic and transnational stories together with visualizing black people in all of their senses and sensibilities. I desire for my work to reflect the questions I grapple with about family, home, identity, belonging and balance between keeping roots and planting new seeds.
